KidzMondo founders
& the constitution

KidzMondo was founded by four characters: Kozmo the adventurous, Ëena the thinker, Dogzilla their protector and Leeloo their wise pet. The KidzMondo characters safeguard the constitution which they drafted, ensuring equal rights for all kidizens, as well as respect for one's self, others, and the environment. Each character has its own personality and characteristics which make them each easily recognizable.

KidzMondo Economy

The city at large possesses all the logistical and economic components of a real city. This includes a banking system, a currency, and spending and earning opportunities. Children working in KidzMondo will gain fiscal knowledge, learning how to exchange money for products or services and watching the economy.

Guests will circulate the Kidlar, which is the city’s local currency, gaining a sense of money and value of earning and saving.
KidzMondo will embed in children a love for working and financial literacy. Through engaging in its micro-economy and vocational role play activities, children will learn the virtues of labor and financial independence.

Kidlars being KidzMondo’ s special currency, Kids have the option to cash a check or deposit their money into a personal account and obtaining an ATM card to be used in the park. That way, they are offered the opportunity to deal with the bank exactly the way adults do.

Within the KidzMondo dominion, life runs exactly as it does in real life. This means there is an everyday need to buy food at the supermarket, to use transportation and fill up the car with gas and many other daily errands. However, contrary to real life, it doesn’t matter if you have your pocket stuffed with dollars, euros, or Lebanese pounds as they won’t buy you anything at KidzMondo. Your one and only currency to use at KidzMondo is the Kidlar.

Establishments will either offer job opportunities to earn Kidlars, or entertainment opportunities where kids can spend money. Kids will deal with bills of different denominations (1, 5, 10, and 20), learning how to add up money and make different combinations of denominations. Guests will also learn about the banking system through cashing checks, and opening bank accounts. They will also be able to obtain debit cards and use ATMs. Earned Kidlars can be deposited in a bank account to be withdrawn at a later visit, or saved to buy merchandise at the Kidlar store. Different price ranges will encourage kids to develop an appreciation for earning and saving money.
